They Said...
Dr. Raul Cruz
Director, Guatemala Heart Institute "We are doing about two operations per day, which is a tremendous achievement for our country. This dream would not have come true without the assistance of our friends in Charlotte."
Donations
While the Heineman Foundation of Charlotte is also supporting local humanitarian and research projects, its main activity, in concert with Carolinas HealthCare System, is to administer an International Medical Outreach Program providing much needed equipment and educational opportunities to underdeveloped countries. Its activity differs from other charitable organizations in many ways. Contrary to other local and national philanthropic organizations, where administrative and fund-raising activities may consume 50-80% of collected funds, 100% of any donation received is spent on the designated project. The donor also has the opportunity to designate to which humanitarian projects the money is spent. Heineman is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All of your donations are tax-deductible according to the Internal Revenue Service regulations.
